Disability Network seeks transportation solutions to benefit individuals with disabilities and the wider community.

Our services:
  • Sharing information on rights and responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Supporting individuals, businesses, and organizations in finding and implementing reasonable accommodations
  • Providing details on transportation options in Ottawa and Allegan Counties
  • Developing and facilitating community workgroups to create transportation solutions
Current community projects include:
  • Creating a Friends of Transit group in Hudsonville/Jenison to study transportation needs and develop solutions
  • Identifying and prioritizing unmet transportation needs and developing community work plans in the Macatawa area (Click here for the newsletter.)
  • Working on a strategic plan for Allegan County transportation to increase public awareness and support for a transit millage in 2009
  • Partnering with area churches and faith-based leaders in Allegan and Ottawa Counties to support public transit through Faith in Motion
  • Meeting with stakeholders to develop consensus for a long-range, regional transportation planning process in West Michigan
